You Have Value, Momma–Prayers and Reminders for Moms

DAY 4 OF 5

You Are Loved, Momma

Time and time again, God’s Word reminds us that God loves us. Yet as women, we often question it, thinking we must earn it in some way or live a perfect life. Since we are surrounded by the conditional love of humans, it’s hard to understand and accept the unconditional love of God. No matter how many times we mess up, God’s love is certain. It is unconditional. It is not based on our response.

Love is a core aspect of God’s character. Everything He does is loving, just like everything He does is just and right. Somehow, His love can live without contradiction with His justice, holiness, and righteousness. Everything God does is loving. He is the perfect example of true love.

God’s love never fails. There are times when we may not feel God’s love. He may feel distant, but be assured, His love remains.

The most detailed description of God’s love is found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” When we accept God’s love, we are able to share it with those around us.

Rest assured. You are loved, momma.

A Prayer for Moms:

Father, thank You for loving me. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that Almighty God would have a special love for me. As I grow in my faith, help me to understand Your love more and more. Give me alert eyes to see Your love in my life. Fill me so full of Your love that it overflows into my children.
