12 Ways God Loves You: Practices That Form Strong Attachments To God And God’s People

DAY 12 OF 12

Creates an identity group (people). The bonding process in the brain creates a group identity. We are individuals and a people at the same time. How many stories can you remember from Scripture that show God is creating a people? God creates couples, parents, families, clans, tribes, and nations. God expects His disciples to be a family of love and attachment. Do we sometimes wonder how much God loves us when we are thrown in with others who are irritating and don’t feel a bit like our people? Are we experiencing the mercy of God’s strong attachment or are these annoying people a sign that God does not remember us? God builds an attachment in us while we are learning to love those God loves but who might not care for us very much. This too is strong love building.
