Grace: Born That Way

DAY 3 OF 5

Unlike a chair, LEGO models require instruction manuals. Even though LEGO bricks are stacked using specific methods, they represent massive creative potential.  If we don’t follow the instructions, we end up with a hot mess.

Image Bearers also possess creation potential.  God integrates His gifts inside us to form our souls.  We become a dis-integrated mess when we don’t follow the instruction manual. We lose our potential when we trade God’s wisdom for our own version of good and evil.

Adam's and Eve’s souls were integrated with God and each other.  The first couple was invited to experience their full creative potential through God’s wisdom.  Instead, they chose to define good and evil for themselves.  That decision destroyed their relationship with each other and with God.

We lose the purpose of our souls when we define good and evil for ourselves.

God makes no mistakes.  When we try to be beautiful our own way and redefine who He created us to be, we become dis-integrated with God and with our true purpose.

To be dis-integrated means to lose your created identity, your true purpose.  Parts meant to work together as a whole become separated and unable to perform their intended function.  You become truly lost.

Paul describes the dis-integrated soul in his letter to the Romans.

About this Plan

Grace: Born That Way

Some try to redefine it. Some spend their entire lives looking for it. We all have a specific identity and purpose. If you don't know who you are, you will never know what to do. This plan initiates a conversation with our Creator in Genesis. Through Him, you will discover your true identity and purpose.
