Day 1 - God is my protector

Hello FearBusters! Welcome to Week 2 of our Fear Busters devotional. Last week we learnt about how God makes us brave!  Did you manage to bust any fears last week? This week we are learning ‘God is my protector!’ 

We are going to be looking in the Bible at the story of Noah’s ark.  God told Noah to build the ark because He knew that this would protect Noah, his family and two of every kind of animal from the flood.  In the bible we can see that God loves us so much He gives us His word to help us.  Our memory verse this week tells us that God is our protector…

READ:

The Lord is my rock, my protection, my Saviour.  My God is my rock.  I can run to Him for safety.  He is my shield and my saving strength, my high tower.” (Psalm 18:2 ICB). 

Noah’s ark may not have been a tower, but God used it to protect Noah and his family.  God may not tell you to build an ark but He tells us to read His word every day and to trust Him. 

Sometimes we may feel unsure of the world around us, but we can be sure that God is our rock, He protects us, He is our saviour, we can run to Him for safety.  He is our shield and with Him we are strong. He is like our high tower of protection. 

ASK:

Can you think of anything that God is protecting you from right now? 

REMEMBER:

Psalm 18:2, says “The Lord is my rock, my protection, my Saviour.  My God is my rock.  I can run to Him for safety.  He is my shield and my saving strength, my high tower.” (ICB).

You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of You! This sickness just won’t do. We tell it now to quit, we've had enough of it!
