Girl In The Song - 7-Day DevotionalSample
Day 7
As I look back at the last six days of devotions I’ve shared with you, I feel confident that you are going to really flourish in God if you’ve hidden each of these truths in your heart.
I encourage you to continue to go back to what we’ve talked about over the last six days. If you can, try to memorize these verses. (God will help you to do it!) Before you know it, you’ll start to feel like you’re wearing spiritual armor - armor that is keeping your heart protected. And these verses will also become the weapons that you’ll use to attack Satan’s “lies”.
So, here’s a quick review of our devos:
Just simply believe. Believe that Jesus is real, and that He's your Savior, and that He loves you. Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT
When those condemning thoughts enter your mind, remember to go back to what Jesus did on the cross. If Jesus sees your record as clean, why not accept His forgiveness and even forgive yourself? Colossians 2:13-15 NLT
It’s when you surrender that you start to discover all the amazing things that God has planned for you all along. Jeremiah 9:11 NLT
Experience the power of prayer for yourself! Talk to God like you would to your closest friend, anytime and anywhere. And when you’re tempted to run - cry out to Him! Psalms 50:15 NLT
Remember that Satan’s always scheming to get you discouraged and make you think God has forgotten you. Recognize where the attack is coming from and fight against Him with the word of God! Ephesians 6:10-11 NIV
Get a playlist of songs to listen to that cause you to think about all He’s done for you; then, make worshiping God a part of your day. Our hearts were ultimately made to worship Him. You’ll quickly see what I mean. Psalms 89:15-17 NLT
Girls, hang on to these truths and don't let them go!
And one more thing… don’t let those feelings… the F-eelings E-merging A-gainst R-eason hold you back!! God has all the answers and He’s going to lead you and guide you every day. Today, I’m asking you to talk to God (pray) about the things that drive you to feel afraid. Then, read these verses and meditate on them.
