The Struggle Is Real But NOT Permanent

DAY 2 OF 3

There will be a day when your weakness turns to winning.

Has anyone ever told you true warriors are winners because they worship?

I will admit it, at times, I don’t like the fact that I’m weak. But everything changes when I focus on Who is strong!

More often than not, I let my fear of weakness scream louder than my trust that God is wiser, stronger, and more powerful than I will ever be.

I forget that God supplies all the strength that I need. There’s simply no risk in answering the call of the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

– It makes me upset when I get rejected by leaders in the church and teachers at my school.

– It’s not fun being asked questions and not knowing the answers.

– It’s frustrating not being able to assemble the bookshelf I just bought. And then my wife walks in and finishes it in five minutes.

– It frightens me to forget someone’s name that I just met. Why does this happen?

The reality is, we live in a world that pushes you to be successful on your own.

A world where you’re encouraged to independently build your life.

A world where weakness is seen as costly.

But the Kingdom of God is different. The Kingdom says to be afraid of those moments when you think you are independently strong.

At all costs we must avoid the delusions of strength and fully depend on the grace of God. God’s grace makes a way for God’s strength to enter into our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

To claim victory over our insecurities, and finally win over the attributes the world puts on us.

Grace frees you from being devastated that you can no longer do it all alone.

With grace, you always win. “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright” (Psalm 20:7–8).

At the end of the day, faith isn’t for strong people, but for weak people.

And it is in our weakness that God pulls us away from our struggle and leads us to our purpose.

So as you go throughout your day, remember this:

Even though you struggle with your weakness, your weakness is what allows God to pull you from your struggle.

It is in our weakness that we see our need for God.

So when it’s all said and done, be reminded that your struggle is real, but it’s not permanent.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

The Struggle Is Real But NOT Permanent

Each day we are faced with situations that are less than ideal. We endure struggles in our marriage, friendships, and jobs. Struggles are a part of life, but they don’t have to define it. In this 3-day devotional, I hope that God speaks to you in your struggle and reminds you that He is your deliverer and redeemer. Enjoy!
