Keys for Kingdom Living | Hope & Faith
Jesus always stopped and took notice when He encountered faith. The Bible tells of people who had incredible faith including a woman with an issue of blood, a woman who anointed Jesus’ head with oil and a centurion who had a sick servant. They all recognized and believed that Jesus had authority over everything.
You have that same authority. Jesus says that nothing is impossible for you if you have faith. You can tell a mountain to move, and it will. When faith is present, you are filled with confidence and can stand strong when everyone else is running. Faith has the ability to make the impossible look possible. But understand that faith can’t be created in your mind. God imparts faith, and you have to receive it.
There is a distinct difference between hope and faith. Hope is based upon what you see, whereas faith is believing even though you cannot see. When you see something good, your hopes are raised. When you see something bad, your hopes are shattered. Hope never really changes anything. Jesus never said that your hope will save you; however, He does say that your faith will save you. God said that faith can change things. Faith is the only thing that moves heaven. Are you believing God for something that hasn’t come to pass yet? As your Father, God wants to move on your behalf. He is just waiting for you to believe in Him. Will you do that today?
