Draw Nigh To God

DAY 2 OF 7

The Double Minded Is Unstable.

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The choice is up to you. You choose. Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.”

When you are in union, or in agreement, with Christ — His bountiful gift is freedom and eternal life. When you choose the ways of the world — the payment of sin is death, bondage, and entanglement. It’s time to choose. You can choose to whither in the world or you can choose to thrive in Christ. Choose Christ. The choice is yours. Draw nigh to Him.

Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:15‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil.” Choose life. Success or defeat is in your hands. Freedom or bondage — the choice is yours. Choose to draw close to His Word. Draw close to His Promise. Draw nigh to Christ.

James‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].” A double minded man cannot choose a side. In fact, James‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares that a double minded man, or woman, is a person who is in a consistent state of hesitating. A double minded person is unstable. A double minded person is unreliable. Choose to be stable. Choose to be reliable. Choose to surrender to Christ.
