Love God Greatly: RisenSample

Love God Greatly: Risen

DAY 40 OF 40

The resurrection work of Christ was complete when Jesus rose from the dead. However, the fullness of the resurrection has not been and will not be fully realized until Christ’s return. This is the tension in which we live: the already but not yet. Jesus has already completed the work of the resurrection, but we have not yet been resurrected into our heavenly bodies.

Our lives can reflect our hope in this reality. As we are confident in our faith, we can live in light of the resurrection. We can remember the second coming of Christ and rest in the truth that we will be with Him forever. His words are faithful and true, and He will come again. As we place our hope in Christ and our future with Him instead of in our circumstances, we will be a great witness to a world that does not yet know our Savior.

Lord Jesus, help me to live as a light and a witness to the truth of the resurrection. Help me to remember that though You have completed the work, the fullness of that work has not yet been realized. Help me to live in a way that honors You as I eagerly await Your return.

Day 39

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Risen

The resurrection of Jesus changed everything. Because of the resurrection we have hope. Risen: How the Resurrection Changes Everything will take a deep dive into the resurrection of Jesus Christ, exploring the ways in which the greatest miracle changed history, changed humanity, and changed us. The resurrection changes us physically, spiritually, legally, mentally, socially, and eternally, and we’re excited to study each of these in depth.
