STAY FIT: Strengthening Your Connection To Jesus

DAY 23 OF 30

We all know how busy our lives are. We never need to be reminded that there is work to be done, meetings to attend, emails to return, kids to take care of, and places we need to be. That’s why it’s a never-ending battle to find the space to breathe, sit, relax, and recharge. It’s why it’s always a fight to find the time to give to the most important people in our lives. We are busy. And some of us secretly like it. It has a way of making us feel important.

So, we guard it. And we make room for little else.

But David reminds us that unless God is building our lives, all our efforts are in vain. He offers us the beautiful promise that the Lord gives to his beloved even in our sleep.

Wow. God can do more in our sleep than all of our efforts combined. In other words, God is saying, “You can take a break. I’m in control here. Your world isn’t going to fall apart because you took some time to sit with me and just listen and refuse to be distracted.”

In what area of your life do you need to stop building and start trusting God again?

About this Plan

STAY FIT: Strengthening Your Connection To Jesus

You can’t lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ if you aren’t growing yourself. When we stay connected to Jesus, we invite God to work in us and through us. Join the staff of North Point Ministries for the next 30 days as we prioritize staying spiritually fit by focusing on the most important relationship in our lives.
