How God Sees You

DAY 1 OF 6

TOTAL ACCESS

The coming of Jesus forever changed the way that God sees you. Jesus is the reason that you have a legal right to get closer to God than you ever imagined possible. Because of Jesus, you are seated in heavenly places in Christ (see Eph. 2:6). You’re as close to God as the mention of His Name.

In the Old Covenant, a veil separated humans from God. But because of Jesus, you aren’t trying to approach God through a veil any more. You have complete access to Him! He has washed you and put His robe of righteousness on you (see Isa. 61:10). Now through Jesus’ righteousness you can stand before God and receive His help every day.

You are destined to spend eternity with Him, completely covered with Christ’s robe of righteousness. You don’t have to wait for the Day of Atonement or bring a blood sacrifice in order to approach Him—you can come to His throne freely, anytime you want.

The significance of the veil being removed is so powerful! Jesus became the priest who offered Himself—the perfect and final sacrifice for all. If you believe that and receive Him as your Lord and Savior—the payment for your sin—you never have to be separated from God again! You have total access to Him—you can come boldly before Him.

That means you live by faith in the fact that Jesus has washed your sins away (see Gal. 2:20). He has given you a new nature—you are not an old sinner saved by grace; you are someone completely new (see 2 Cor. 5:17). You have no more shame, no more unworthiness or bondage to sin. That’s what allows you to come boldly into God’s presence.

This is His doing, not ours (see Ps. 118:22-23). In other words, the only good works we should be doing are Christ’s good works. If we mix in our own good works, trying to achieve righteousness by earning it on our own, then we stand before God with stains and holes in our robe, because all of our works are still tainted with sin.

We have to realize that access only comes from being righteous in Christ’s righteousness. Because of the price that Jesus paid, God sees you as totally righteous, with total access to Him.
