Walking Through Miscarriage With GodSample
"Great is HIS Faithfulness"
Just after 586 B.C. in the book of Lamentations, Jeremiah wrote about the destruction of his home in Jerusalem. He says, "I will never forget this awful time as I grieve over my loss". Jeremiah is grieving the destruction of Jerusalem, the death of people he loved and those who happened to survive were then exiled to Babylon. Jeremiah now understands loss and grief in a way that few have experienced. His heart was truly broken.
In the midst of his grief Jeremiah says, "the faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."
As you grieve for your baby, please know that God wants to surround you with His unconditional love. God is right there with you and wants to bring you comfort and peace as you grieve. Through your tears and sorrow, reach out to God. Pray for His peace, comfort and healing. No matter how severe our heartache, we always have hope because of God's amazing love!
After a miscarriage, it is very normal to feel alone and empty. These feeling can last a couple weeks to years if not dealt with appropriately. Do not let the lies from our enemy (Satan) pull you into mental seclusion. You are not alone! You are loved and you were made in the image of God. God will never leave you, He is always with you and wants to be the Comforter you need right now. No person or pet can give you the peace or comfort that our Heavenly Father wants to extend to you. John 14:27 says, âthe peace I give is a gift the world cannot give." His compassion knows no end! Our God is the great Physician and He alone can heal our hearts from all the hurt and brokenness we feel.
Read through today's Bible passages and feel the hope Jeremiah has for the future God has promised! I found the greatest comfort after my miscarriages by writing out these verses in my journal and then verbally declaring that Godâs love never ends! You are not alone through this tragedy, God is with you.
Trusting in Godâs faithfulness during the hard times plants the seed of faith that we will need later in life.
