DAY 3 OF 10

GOD’S PLAN FOR BELIEVERS

God knows everything and never makes a wrong decision. God knows the best for us. However, even we Christians sometimes doubt God’s ability to solve our problems. We might feel that it takes too long for the Lord to do something. We become impatient and decide to solve our own problems, and God allows us to do what we want.

After the Israelites tried to act alone, they finally came to understand that their efforts were useless and turned to the Lord. People usually seek the Lord after their own efforts come to nothing. Under the leadership of Samuel, the Lord gave victory to the Israelites over the Philistines and the Ark of the Lord was returned to Israelites.

After Samuel became old, the Israelites doubted Samuel’s ability so that they forced him to give them a king. This request was not God’s will. It was their own will. Sometimes we tend to look to someone’s expertise rather than God’s ability. The Lord does not look at our age or status. In our limitations, God still can use us to be His instruments.

For God, it was not the time yet for Israel to have a king. Maybe it’s not our time yet to change our job or business. It is better for us to sit at the feet of the Lord, to pray and wait for the things that God has planned for us.

Everything is beautiful in His time, His plan is always the best for us.
