Godliness Guards the Path of the Blameless

DAY 2 OF 3

Walk Not In The Counsel Of The Ungodly.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Psalms‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Choose not to walk in the ways of the ungodly. Choose not to follow after the character of the ungodly. Choose not to pattern yourself after those who walk after the ways of the world. Choose to yield to Christ.

Psalm‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.” Don’t follow the advice of the ungodly. Follow after the Instruction, Plan and Purpose of Christ. Let His Counsel lead you. Don’t become submissive and inactive to the world’s way of doing things. Actively submit and surrender your heart to Christ.

Psalms‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.” Don’t join in with the mockers. Choose to surrender to Christ.

There is joy in God’s Way of doing things. There is peace in God’s Way of doing things. There is safety in God’s Way of doing things. There is shelter in God’s Way of doing things. Follow Christ and He will lead your house. When you surrender to Christ you will not shipwreck. Let His Word guide your heart.
