Day 14 – God cannot always be explained
Reflect
Have you ever felt like you needed to defend God? An awkward position to be in! Perhaps Peter felt just like that. Peter simply told the truth about what he experienced. What other explanation could there have been except that all that happened was initiated by God? Later, the Apostle Paul would expound on the wonders of God's grace, and things would be much clearer. In referring to the unexplainable, Ps. Messer has often said: "I just point at it and say, that's God."
Respond
Lord, I live in a world that criticises and defames Your Word and Your ways. Help me always to be filled with Your Spirit and ready to tell what I know of Your grace towards me. May my testimony be up-to-the-minute as I live in vital union with You.
