And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
There is no way for us as humans to fathom the love that God has for us. That is why we must accept this type of love in faith. God’s love for us is beyond the knowledge of man–we cannot fully understand it! But we don't have to understand it to accept it. There is beauty in the thought that we are deeply loved by our Heavenly Father with a kind of love that goes beyond our knowledge and understanding.
How perfectly wonderful is that?
As a mom, ask God daily for the understanding of His love for you. As moms, we need to realize the depths of God’s love more than anyone because we are in the position to teach God’s love to the next generation. Think about it: if the next generation was told every single day about the depth of love that God has for them, how would that change our entire culture? It would be a revolution!
You, as a mom in your house, doing the mundane everyday tasks of motherhood, YOU could start a revolution! This revolution would set your child on a course that would change their identity forever. Your child will be so rooted in God’s love that even when they fail, they will know they are still loved. When your child doesn’t get that promotion at work, he will still know he is loved. The ramifications are endless.
Moms, “I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to GRASP how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Amen!
Pray this today:
Oh, how I want to believe this deep, everlasting love that You have for me! God, open my eyes. Help me push against my critical nature and accept Your love for me. God, I want to embrace Your love, so that I may in turn teach my children. I cannot teach what I do not know. I’m asking You today, to give me faith like none other, so I will accept Your deep love for me.
