How to Plan for Success - Life Is Easier When You Know Where You Are Going

DAY 1 OF 6

1. Planning Is Good

When God created the world, He had a plan. And there was a structure in which He executed His plan in the work of creation. It wasn't random; there was a purpose. Each day consistently led to another until God created man, and then on the last day, He rested.

He already knew what man would do. And He already knew what He would do about it. No matter how you might feel about your life today, God has a plan, and it's the best plan. When the Israelites were going through some of the hardest times in their history, they questioned God's plan because they thought their situation was nothing like what they wanted to see. Then they messed up, and the exile shouldn't have been a surprise to them. But in the middle of their struggle, God spoke through Jeremiah about the plan He had for them. His plan was full of peace and hope. And that's how God wants us to live today. That is His plan for you and me. Peace and hope, even when our lives seem chaotic and hopeless.

And God delights in revealing His plan to us. Through Jesus, He has given us everything we need to be able to execute His plan. But before we do it, we need to discover it. It is possible to learn about His plans both for humanity, but also for us who play a special part in His incredible story. He has already made it known, and we need to discover and apply it.

Some people say that planning isn't spiritual, but if God has plans, so should we. When you plan properly, the Holy Spirit will help you discover His plans for your life. If you want to live a meaningful life today, you need to discover His good plan for you and take some practical steps to start living the life you are supposed to live.
