Love God Greatly - GalatiansSample
The Apostle Paul shares his testimony in this passage. After years of attempting to destroy God’s Church through the severe persecution of Christians, Paul was called by God unto salvation through an encounter with Jesus Christ. His mission was given by God…to preach Jesus Christ to those who were not Jewish. Paul did not seek instruction, confirmation, or preparation from other Christians, but from the Lord Himself.
Believers may hesitate to serve in God’s Kingdom out of fear. We fear we may not be ready. We fear we may be judged. We fear the sacrifice of time and energy. We fear we may not be perfect. Yet the Lord knows every intimate detail about us when He calls us. God chooses imperfect flawed people to carry out His mission here on the earth…to reach the lost. When we step out in faith to serve God, the preparation and instruction comes from the Holy Spirit and through people that God divinely places in our path.
Where is God calling you to go and serve him? What hesitation, obstacle, or fear is keeping you from serving God in your community, in your church, and in ministry? Will you allow your own desires or the desires of those around you to distract you from God’s calling?
Father God, You are the God who knows me and designed me for Your purposes. Thank You, Lord, for choosing me to serve in Your global plan of spreading Your gospel to the lost. Lord, there are days when I feel inadequate to serve You and fear failing You. On those days, Lord, remind me of Your love that pours out on me regardless of my performance. Help me to remain bold and focused on where You have called me to serve, knowing that You are absolutely faithful and Your anointing will teach me all that I need to know. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
