Love God Greatly - Galatiansნიმუში

Paul urges the members of the churches of the region of Galatia to have compassion and empathy for each other. Paul knows the struggle between flesh and Spirit is ongoing and can be overwhelming. When fellow Christians stumble and err, they will need gentle spiritual restoration to return to the right path. Believers must be careful not to exalt themselves or judge themselves better than others in case we find ourselves needing compassion and gentle restoration as well.
If you were to be confronted about sin in your life by a fellow believer, how would you want it done? Will you remember that when you must confront a believer about their sin?
Father God, You are my God of compassion which never fails. Help me to pour Your compassion out on others. Lord, keep me humble and merciful so that I am able to accept correction and restoration. Lord, keep me humble and merciful so that I am able to give compassionate correction and restoration. Lord, teach me to show the same mercy and grace to others that You have always shown towards me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
