Thy Son Liveth: Miracles Still Happen

DAY 2 OF 7

Will you [still] believe without seeing movement?

In today’s world of validation and instant gratification, the power of faith has been diluted in exchange for ‘likes’ and viral moments. The ability to hold on to God’s “yes and amen” while waiting to see the manifestation, without complaining or doubting, is what moves the heart of God and grows your patience, perseverance, character, and love.

On this day we’re in Cana of Galilee and a royal official of Capernaum (whose son was sick), went to specifically seek out Jesus [and bring Jesus back with him to Capernaum] to heal his son. Having pressed twice, Jesus responds, “Go thy way, thy son liveth.” The bible says the man believed the word and went his way.

A royal official understands orders, commands, and decrees. When a king speaks, a royal official comes in direct alignment with the word and says “It is so.” Disagreement and doubt are irrelevant. “Whether the stars will align” isn’t even a thought. The king said it; it is so.

“It is so” means Amen. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation. Whatever the King says, it is so.

Yes, your family will be restored. Yes, you are a new creature. Yes, you are an overcomer. No other validation is necessary. And although it may not yet look like it, it does not mean that its current state is its perpetual state.

God is not a man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Numbers 23:19 ESV)

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Thy Son Liveth: Miracles Still Happen

God is still in the miracle business and miracles are a part of the Kingdom experience. I love miracles and believe that God wants to do exceedingly abundantly in our lives for His namesake. Miracles also occur to encourage faith in nonbelievers. In this 7-day plan I compiled a list of some of the miracles I found in the book of John. Read and be encouraged - miracles still happen.
