The Lord is Good

DAY 1 OF 3

“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord is good. He is a Stronghold in the day of trouble. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Stronghold” is, ‘ma`owz’ (H4581) which means, “A fortified place, a fort, a fortress, a rock, a place of safety, protection and refuge.” Christ is our Refuge. He is our Fortress. In the day of trouble, He is our Strength and Song. In the midst of the storm, He is your Strong Tower. Run to Him. Run to Christ in every season of life. He is your Protection and Shield.

Nahum‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.” He is close to those who choose to trust Him. Choose to trust in Christ in the midst of turmoil. In the midst of defeat, choose to trust Him. In the midst of failure, choose to trust Him. In the midst of the desert, choose to trust Him. In the midst of the wilderness, choose to trust Christ.

Who is like our God? Who is like our King? No one can defeat Him. No one can overthrow Him. He is the Undefeated Champion. He is the Undefeated King. No one outranks our God. No one can debunk Christ. He is our Savior. He is our Lord. He is our Ruler. He is our Strength. He is our Way in the wilderness.

Nahum‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him.” Take refuge in Christ. He is your Strong Tower. When things around you are chaotic — choose to trust Christ. When things around you are tumultuous — Christ is your Fortress. Let Christ be your Secure Foundation. Don’t focus on the instability of the world. Choose to shift your focus on Christ the King.
