Running From The Heart

DAY 26 OF 31

Calling

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10, NLT)

Praying and meditating on God’s word, Rebecca felt His heart for all the people who are “Lost,” and His calling for her to be a witness to the youth. Shortly after, He graciously opened the door for her to be the National Director of Alpha Youth.

“I’m privileged to support youth pastors and work with teen leaders and teen groups.”

“Every day I pray that God would save more souls to be with Him for eternity... Lord I feel so weak – please help me to glorify you in this new role.”

“One day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. But until that day there is a work to do and a harvest waiting. “

“I feel God is pouring out His Spirit like never before; who’s in for the one who paid it all? I am! Speaking to myself as I know many have seen this before me, but it’s time to stand up! To speak up! Be a voice to our generation of the Good News of our Savior Jesus Christ.”

I stop and weep in awe of Rebecca’s beautiful and challenging words, written one year before she completed her race and was called home to Heaven. She was obedient to God’s calling and to the plan He had prepared for her long ago. The seeds she sowed continue to bear fruit in the lives of people today.

By the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. (1 Corinthians 15:10)

You are God’s masterpiece, and He will guide you into the plans and purposes He has prepared for you. As you step courageously into God’s calling on your life, by His grace, He will equip you with everything you need to carry out His will and bring glory to His name.

Are you, “in for the one who paid it all?”

Passing the Baton:

Be courageous in running the race He has called you to.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that I am your masterpiece and that you have qualified me, and will give me the grace, to do the work you have called me to do. I commit myself to your calling for my life. Amen.
