Love God Greatly: Esther

DAY 37 OF 40

Mordecai was a faithful man. He was brought into the presence of the king. He was entrusted with the signet ring. He was appointed over Haman's estate. He was able to write the decree that saved his people. Haman hastened to be rich. He wanted to be rich with wealth and with honor and it was those very desires which led to his downfall.

We live in a society that honors the rich, but God's word is clear: faithfulness is of greater value and will reap better, eternal rewards. Instead of striving for great wealth, let's be people who strive to be faithful, faithful to God and faithful to the people in our lives.

Dear God, Help me to be like Mordecai. Help me to be faithful to what You have called me to in my life. Help me to honor You where you have placed me and with what You have given me. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Esther

Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
