Love God Greatly: Esther

DAY 11 OF 40

David calls us to bow down and worship the Lord–He is the only one who is worthy of our adoration! Although Mordecai was disobeying the orders of the king by not bowing down to Haman, he was reserving his worship and adoration for the One who truly deserved it. Physically kneeling in worship isn't common in society these days, but we often worship other replacements for God without realizing it. One way to tell is by looking at how you spend your time and money. Are this things distracting you from keeping your focus on God?

Dear God, Be the love of my life! Like David and Mordecai, help me to worship only You. Reveal to me anything that is replacing You in my life and help me to put it in its proper place--not on the throne of my heart which should be reserved only for You. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Esther

Esther is an incredible story that reminds us God is always working. From this story, we learn there is no such thing as "coincidence." Though God may seem distant, even absent at times, He is present. God is always with us and at work in our lives, just like He was in Esther's so many years ago.
