State Of Mind

DAY 4 OF 5

When stress, fear, anxiety, or depression take hold in our lives we can lose sight of all of the good around us.

And yet, we’re reminded through Scripture that we should thank God no matter our circumstances. We don’t have to like our circumstances. We don’t have to be thankful for our circumstances. But, we can’t lose sight of God’s goodness and generosity towards us in difficult times.

No matter how dark life gets, there is always something to be thankful for. It might take a lot of thinking and searching to find what those things are, but they’re there. Make it a habit to take time every day to think of these things.

Expressing gratitude can help bring some hope and light to dark times. In fact, studies have shown that expressing gratitude increases happiness and decreases depression and anxiety over time.

What are you grateful for today? Take time to thank God for that.
