One awesome thing about God is that even though He has all the power in the world, He chooses not to take control of us. God gave us the power to make our own decisions because He wants us to control ourselves. And that means, every single day, you get the opportunity to choose for yourself the things you do, think, and say. 

But just because He gives us the freedom to make our own choices doesn’t mean we have to make those choices alone. Today’s verse is a reminder that we can call on God to help us do and say what’s wise and best for our lives. This verse is another way of saying, “God I want what I say to reflect what You want me to say.” Make this your prayer today!
