The Lord Is My ShepherdSample
The Lord Is My Shepherd.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” Psalms 23:1-2 KJV
David declares, in Psalms 23:1, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Shepherd” is, ‘ra`ah’ (H7462) which means, “To graze, feed, to tend, pasture, of ruler, or teacher.” In other words, David declares, “The Lord is my teacher.” He is the One who teaches me. God is the One who rules me. God is the One who feeds my heart. God is the One who tends to my needs. The Lord is my Shepherd. God guides my heart. He strengthens my soul in all seasons. The Lord is the One who grazes the pasture of my heart. He is the One who rules and regulates my soul.
Who is your teacher? Who guides your heart? Who feeds your soul? Let the Word of God rule, regulate and feed every part of your life. When you are in Christ — He becomes the Shepherd, Ruler, Master, Lord and Savior of your soul. When God becomes your Shepherd, He is the One who Father’s or oversees your soul. When you entrust your life to Him, He will guide, rule and regulate your words, actions and deeds. He will cultivate the ground of your heart. It is your decision to surrender to God and let Him pluck up anything that’s not like Him.
Choose to let the Father Shepherd your heart. Let God teach you. Let God cultivate you. Graze upon His Word and let His Word feed, cultivate and transform your heart and generational bloodline forever.
