Don't Be Afraid, Just Have Faith

DAY 6 OF 7

Faith Acts!

Faith Is A Certainty That Leads To Action. The knowing that goes beyond intellect and reasoning. How do you know you are saved? How do you know Jesus is alive? It is a knowing that transcends the understanding. Faith is what takes you out of the boat and puts you on the water. Faith is what tears the roof open and lowers  a friend before Jesus. Faith is going to pull people from their houses and taking them to our places of worship, into fellowship with Jesus. Faith is what fills a vessel with water and trust that Jesus will convert it to wine.

What you do shows  where your faith is. Our faith is known and shown by the things we do. You cannot claim to believe God and do things that are contrary, things that have nothing to do with believing God. Faith is the fire that drives our obedience and our sacrifice. Faith, the evidence of the things not seen, in a God that calls the things that be not as though they were. Faith makes all the difference.

Mark 5:22-23 Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.”

Faith Is A Certainty That Leads To Action. The knowing that goes beyond intellect and reasoning. Faith makes all the difference.

From Mark 5:21-43, we have learnt that faith believes against all odds. Faith gets God’s attention. When faith is in action, it comes in contact with God’s grace and provision, and miracles happen. When faith is in action, it moves God to action. When faith is in action, heaven responds.

Looking at the story of this woman, it was not right religiously according to the Law, for an unclean person to touch a clean person. But because of her faith, Jesus allowed it, healed the woman and crowned her with a blessing. It was not right for Jesus to touch Jairus’ dead daughter, it was against the Law. But Jesus touched her and said, “Little girl, I say to you arise!” When faith is in place, God can suspend protocol and God put things on hold for you.

Do not be afraid, just have faith. You need to combine your faith with His grace and see miracles happen. By faith - overcome fear and shame, act boldly but humbly, focus on Who not on what, and act on God’s promises. Amen!

The question is not who will let you, the question is who is going to stop you? Only believe!
