Walk By Faith

DAY 4 OF 5

FAITH IS EVERYTHING

Without faith we cannot please God. We must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Sometimes I tell people that God doesn’t answer prayer. They usually get very uncomfortable. Then I say that God answers the prayer of faith. You see, it is in believing that we receive . It’s all about believing—believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, believing that He is a miracle worker, and believing that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Having faith in God puts Him in the right place: at the forefront of our lives.

“Your faith has made you well,” said Jesus to the sick woman (Luke 8:48). She knew that if she could just touch the hem of His garment, she would be healed. A similar thing happened to Bartimaeus, the blind man. He was determined to make sure that Jesus heard him when He was walking past, so Bartimaeus shouted loudly, making a fool of himself. Eventually Jesus stopped and asked, “What do you want Me to do for you?” When Bartimaeus asked Jesus for his sight, he received it immediately and was healed. Jesus told him, “Your faith has made you well.”

How do we increase our faith? We ask God for it, just as the disciples did.

Dear God, please let my faith grow by leaps and bounds. I can never have enough of it. Amen.
