THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON YOU, FOR HE HAS ANOINTED YOU

This is my favorite verse and one that I quote over myself again and again. When I write, when I stand up to preach, when I stand up to teach, I declare this over myself – “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor”. Today you need to believe that you are anointed – in your job, as a mom or dad, in your ministry, and anything you put your hand to, God has anointed you! The Holy Spirit is upon you! Be bold and be confident in your anointing from Him. And notice the ‘tense’ of the anointing – it’s not ‘is anointing’ you, it’s not ‘might’ anoint you. It’s past tense - He has anointed you, meaning I am currently anointed. And there is a reason for your anointing. You are anointed for a purpose, not for your own selfish ambition or to get more likes on Instagram; you are anointed to help people, to preach to the poor, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and sight for the blind. Today stand strong in your anointing and don’t let the enemy intimidate you, because there are miracles for people on the other side of your confidence in God. When you stand up in God’s anointing people will get saved, set free, and sight for the blind will be restored – so be bold!
