I WILL STAND STRONG 30 DAY CHALLENGE

DAY 26 OF 30

Stand in the Gap

If there were ever a time for Christians to stand in the gap and bring hope to the hopeless, now is that time.

Many people are doing what is right in their own eyes. Leaving them feeling empty, lonely and frustrated.

We—the redeemed people of God—are to stand in the gap, and fill the spiritual disconnect that exists because of sin. Of course, it is Jesus who is the Mediator between God and sinful man (1 Timothy 2:5). But now, through His church, God uses His children to do His work.

It doesn’t always have to be dramatic, like David taking out Goliath—or Peter preaching to thousands. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a knee when you’re fearful and trusting in Him whatever the outcome. Maybe it’s saying, “God bless you” to the grocery store bagger. Leaving a large tip with “Jesus loves you” on the receipt at the restaurant. Or even refusing to let fear about your finances keep you from enjoying time with your family. Whatever it is, just ask God for strength to stand in the gap for those He’s placed in your life.

You’ll know it’s time to do so when you feel the fear that comes with it. But don’t let fear stop you from confidently doing what God calls you to do, no matter how small a task.

Remember. Fear is the greatest enemy of faith, and faith—supernatural, bold faith—is exactly what it takes to stand in the gap. So, be that Christian who is willing to stand in the gap for those who need a touch of God today!
