THE BIG THREE

Many people think of creativity as a mood or a muse. Some see it as a gift that some have and others do not, but creativity is foundational to our creation. We were made in the image of a Creator and creativity is one of the highest manifestations of the divine nature.

But creativity is also fundamental to our existence. We all need creativity to face life’s daily challenges. So how do we tap into true creativity? How do we release that divine nature within ourselves? 

Creativity comes from the Creator and is actually founded in three aspects of His divine nature: Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding.

Take for example: 

King Solomon the King: “God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore” (1 Kings 4:29)

Bezalel the Artisan and Craftsman: "See, I have called by name Bezalel, of the tribe of Judah. "I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to make artistic designs for work… (Exodus 31:2-6)

The Four Hebrew Young Men: “As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams” (Daniel 1:17)

Daniel: “Daniel said, ‘To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king's matter’ (Daniel 2: 23). 

Jesus: The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).

Getting the big three – Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding – are both commanded and advised. "The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7). Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding (Proverbs 23:23).

How do you get it?

1. God gives it: For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6)

2. By asking for it:  For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9).

3. Through knowing God: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding (Proverbs 9:10)

God desires to download a season of unparalleled creativity on us in this season. I believe He will give answers, inventions, solutions, craftsmanship, creativity and wealth. We must simply believe correctly and look in the right place, for the right thing. 

You are created because someone else was creative.
