This Year I Will

DAY 4 OF 7

Day 4: This Year I Will Take Action

The line between those who see their dreams and goals come to pass and those who don’t is action. You can have the best of intentions, but intentions will never change your destination. I pray this year you will say yes to what God puts before you and follow up with faithful commitment.

I love the story of Esther. She was born with a calling and marked with a destiny: to prevent a genocide against the Jewish people. Because God’s Hand was on her, she went from a humble background to being the wife of the King of Persia. He did not know she was a Jew. One day, the chief minister plotted a massacre against the Jews that was approved by the King.

During that time period, if you entered the King’s presence without being invited, you could be executed. Esther took courage and went boldly to the King to reveal the truth of her ethnicity and ask him to revoke the original decree.

Esther 4:15-16 says, “When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Esther was an “I will” person. Regardless of the cost, she obeyed God and saved millions of lives through her bravery and action. You never know how God will use your “I will” to impact generations to come!

What about you? Will you be a person of action or let the moment pass you by? Imagine what could have happened if Esther would have shrunk back in fear or held back in procrastination. God loves to use normal people to do extraordinary things—but it always requires bold action.

This is your year. Your year to grow, change, and fulfill all that God has called you to do. There is no time to waste, our world needs you to take action when it comes to your calling!

Pray with me today: “Heavenly Father, I pray that You would shape me and mold me into the person You’ve created me to be. Give me Your perspective on my God-given purpose on this earth. Help me to live with urgency when it comes to my calling and be a disciple that takes action. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

About this Plan

This Year I Will

This is the year of I will. This isn’t the year of I might, I’ll think about it, or I’ll get around to it. This is the year of taking action when it comes to the dreams, gifts, and callings God has given you. What has God put in your heart to do this year?May this be your faith declaration: this year I will!
