The Year Of Revival

DAY 1 OF 7

The story of every great Christian achievement is the history of answered prayer.

—E. M. Bounds

In 1824 Charles Finney began what would later be known as the Second Great Awakening in America. He would travel town to town preaching the gospel and seeing many turn to Jesus. Over his career, he saw more than 500,000 people respond to the gospel. In the wake of his ministry, evangelical Christian church members in the US grew from 350,000 (7% of the population) to nearly 3 Million (13% of the population).

In his autobiography Finney said, “A revival may be expected when Christians have a spirit of prayer for a revival. That is, when they pray as if their hearts were set upon it.” Finney’s accomplishments were built on a foundation of purposeful and passionate prayer.

The first thing we must do to see revival in our nation is pray. Take a moment right now to pray. Pray for the gospel to spread and the church to be strengthened and revived. Pray for America to turn to the only person that can bring true revival: Jesus.

Day 2

About this Plan

The Year Of Revival

Revival can be one of the most misunderstood and over-used terms in the Christian language today. Ultimately the revival of the church starts with you. When you become self-lit in your passion for Jesus, you infect the world around you. This year God is going to something different in your life. Your future will be greater than your past. Revival is coming. Get ready.
