Remnant: Learning From The Passionate Apostle

DAY 1 OF 10

Peter first heard about Jesus from his brother Andrew, who heard about Him from John the Baptist. Even so, it wasn’t until Jesus performed a miracle involving fish that Peter was moved to respond.

When Jesus said “follow,” Peter did, but that doesn’t mean Peter had everything figured out or knew what he was in for. All he knew for sure was that Jesus was different from anyone else he’d ever met and God was working miracles through Him.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to take steps toward Jesus either. All you have to do is look for the truth contained in God’s Word and trust God to reveal what you need to know when you need to know it.

When you are convinced Jesus is God’s Son, the Savior of the World, your only hope of salvation from the consequences of your sin (anything in your life that doesn’t match up with God’s will and character), you can put your faith in Him. If you already have, keep following. If you haven’t yet, keep seeking.

Thank God for the person(s) who told you about Jesus.

Day 2

About this Plan

Remnant: Learning From The Passionate Apostle

To say the apostle Peter was passionate about following Jesus Christ and advancing the Gospel would be an understatement. The man tried to walk on water to get to Jesus, cut a guy’s ear off for trying to arrest Jesus, and allowed himself to be crucified upside down for his faith, but Peter’s journey didn’t happen overnight. Don’t be intimidated by Peter’s headlines. Read his backstory and be encouraged.
