Your life counts

“You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139:15-16)

What criteria should be used to evaluate a person’s life? According to what could we say that one person is important and another is not? The world has established its own criteria: level of education, social class, success, etc. 

God is the author of your life. He made the choice to create you and love you. Thus, you’re not an accident. Your life has value because it is God’s choice.

If the owner of the universe declares that your life counts, who can contradict Him? Don’t listen to this lying voice that suggests to you that the world would be much better without you...it’s not true! 

You are a blessing to your family, your friends, your coworkers. You are the channel through which the Lord desires to flow into their lives and hearts. 

You are God’s choice, and your life counts!
