The Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur

DAY 2 OF 4

A Different Kind of Business Success Plan

It is easy to believe that the path to success in business is either following the blueprint of someone else’s business or following the advice of someone you believe is an expert in business growth strategy. No doubt God can and does use others in your life to help you along your journey, but ultimately He is the one with the Master Business Plan. His plan requires faith and obedience. Seeking His plans, thoughts and strategies and then trusting Him by faithfully walking it out in your business with Him is key to unlocking His best.

The Bible is full of examples of how faith coupled with obedience yields success. When Peter chose to obey, Jesus demonstrated His power and gave him and his partners extraordinary results when they were out on the boat fishing. His one decision transformed the lives of many. When Joshua chose to obey God’s simple but seemingly crazy instructions to lead his army to walk around the walls of Jericho in silence for days before giving a great shout on the seventh day, the power of God showed up and the walls came down. Not only did he prosper, but the people of Israel also prospered under his leadership. The rewards of obedience are shown in the lives of so many others throughout both the Old and New Testament.

If you want to follow a formula, the best one you can follow is Faith + Obedience = Success. The glory of God is revealed as you follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your business through your daily operations and strategic decision making. You may not always understand the instructions He gives you, but submitting yourself will not only bring you success, but will benefit those around you who you are called to impact.

Questions for reflection and action:

1. Are you following someone else's blueprint for your business? Have you spent time with God seeking His blueprint for your business? He may only illuminate a small part of the picture, but don't discount that small beginning.

2. Is there something God has instructed you to do (or not do) in your business which you have ignored and need to move forward on?
