Faith Facts For Kids

DAY 8 OF 8

Say this faith fact out loud: I can have the faith to give generously, even if I don’t have much.

A sacrifice is giving up something you love for something you love even more. When you give what you have to help someone or give what you have to worship God, that’s sacrifice. That’s giving generously! It pleases God when you have enough faith to do that.

God doesn’t ask us to give to others in need only when we have extra. He asks us to give all the time!

When we don’t have a lot to give and we still choose to give to others in need, we’re giving a sacrifice. Sacrifice shows strong faith. Strong faith trusts God will give us exactly what we need, when we need it, so we don’t have to keep all of our time, all of our money, all of our toys, or all of our food to ourselves.

Watch the video, then use the Bible verse Hebrews 13:16 to play Leap and Learn. It will help you remember that God loves the sacrifices we make to help others!

Leap and Learn

1. Get a jump rope and two people to play with you.

2. Two people hold the ends of the jump rope and say Hebrews 13:16.

3. One person tries to jump the rope for the whole Bible verse.

4. Count each jump after the Bible verse is over.

5. Who can jump to the highest number?

Talk It Over:

When is it hard for you to give what you have?

What do you think is good about giving when you don’t have a lot to give?

How much do you think someone should give if they do have a lot to give?

What do you think you should give this week?
