Love God Greatly: 1 & 2 ThessaloniansSample
Read: 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
SOAP: 2 Thessalonians 3:10
Paul calls out the busy bodies in the church who use their mouths as weapons instead of working to build up the body. Rather than choosing to give an ear to idle gossipers, we should continue to grab hold of the calling God has place on our lives to share the Gospel. Paul challenges the believers in Thessalonica to not expend energy on enabling excuse makers and selfish, lazy people.
Lord, help me stay in my lane and serve without getting sidetracked by complainers and dysfunctional people. I want to wisely invest in healthy relationships and not grow weary when a disobedient whiner is in my way. Give me Your grace and discernment when I interact with difficult people. Amen.

About this Plan
In the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, you meet a church who are going through some storms. Severe persecution is threatening their lives, and they are clinging to the promise that Jesus is coming back. This promise is from the Promise Keeper…He IS coming back. The Thessalonians had to learn to live with this hope as they lived their lives in the now.
