Passionate: Finding Purpose In Your PassionSample
But what if you already know your true passion, and cannot seem to figure out how to bring it into fruition?
You have realized your “it” but now what?
We may know deep down that we want to teach for a living, but may not be able to afford to do so. Passion often takes a backseat to your responsibilities, especially if you are a parent.
I know this all too well. Before I became a business owner, I was an apprentice electrician.
I had zero interest in becoming an electrician. I did, however, have an interest in paying my bills!
I was in my early twenties, with a pregnant wife and no real plan for how I was going to make things work. To outside appearances, I was lazy. I called out from work often, I left early, and my work was subpar at best.
It wasn’t a matter of work ethic. I simply was not passionate about what I was doing.
Today, it isn’t hard for me to get up and go to work anymore. It used to be, but the Lord has delivered me from that life. Today I wake up early and I am excited when I walk into my building. I am living the life that I have always wanted to live, and I am helping others to do the same. My passion did not lie within electrical work. My passion, my it, is helping others to find their passion. As a leader, trainer, and entrepreneur, I inspire and encourage my team to chase their wildest dreams.
Are you currently striving towards your passion? If not, what obstacles are in your way?

About this Plan
“What are you passionate about? What gets you up in the mornings, and keeps you up at night?" In this sequel to “Motivation: Finding Your It,” David Villa goes further in depth on the concept of passion, and how our God-given abilities can benefit our lives, and the lives of those around us.
