PRAY: Dear God, I thank You that You have immense patience for me, even though I am a sinner. Thank You that because I believe in You and have received eternal life, that You are always showing me mercy. I don't deserve how good You are to me, but I accept Your promise that You love me and have great patience for me. I am humbled by Your unconditional love and I praise You for Your patient, saving grace. Amen.

REFLECT:  It's amazing that it doesn't matter how good or bad we are, that God loves us, accepts us completely as we are, and patiently responds to us with mercy. Do you really believe this? Can you think of any times when you experienced God's unconditional mercy and His immense patience?

ACT:  If you journal, write down a specific instance when you felt you deserved punishment or condemnation and yet God patiently showed you grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Put that reminder somewhere that you can read again when you feel unworthy, or like a horrible sinner. It's important to remember God's patience and faithfulness at times when we need to accept His mercy.
