Real Love Real Life

DAY 2 OF 5

Jesus Was a Man

Jesus was a man. A real man who walked the dusty roads. A man who ate food just like you and me. He was human! Believing that Jesus was a man is a crucial fact of our faith. The apostle John tells us so in 1st John. He lays that foundation to prepare us for what is next, he testifies, “the infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.”

John wanted us to know that he saw, heard, and touched Jesus. Why did he find this fact so crucial for Christians to know? Because if Jesus did not exist, He could not die the death He died. He could not bleed the blood that paid for our sins. And resurrect from the grave to then take us to heaven when we die. We need for Jesus to be man.

But John does not stop there. He wants us to know that Jesus was also the word of life. Word of life meaning, He can give you direction from heaven. He can breathe words of encouragement when you need, in the direction you need. John says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Jesus is also eternal life. He wasn’t just a man or a teacher. He is our Savior, as God, He came in the form of man. When we understand that Jesus was God and man, it means we are putting our trust and faith in God as our eternal life. He is our eternity. I’m going to break it down. Jesus was a man, who is the son of God, who is our Savior, who is the bridge for us to have the connection with God. Jesus existed as a man to die for our sins. He is our word of life who takes us to God to be our eternal life.

About this Plan

Real Love Real Life

Loving God first and foremost is the first step towards loving first. God equals love. He sent His son to die for us. The love God has for us does not compare to any other love you will experience. It’s a love that impacts and transforms. When we choose to love God first, we are capable of loving others even when it may seem hard to do so. God changes our hearts with love.
