Principle #2 "Lead skillfully with an upright heart, always."

To lead with an upright heart is to lead with integrity. It's easy to believe that no one sees the small matters of the heart that steer leaders away from doing what's right. For example, the few too many trips to dinner on the company's card marked as "client dinners," the multiple overlooked mistakes made by your favorite employees or business partner, or even the few things you do in private but would reprimand your employees for doing. The world may tell you to take shortcuts, tell small lies, and manipulate data on documentation in your favor. But God doesn't want that for you as a kingdom leader.

According to Oxford Languages, integrity is defined as "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness."

If God were to survey your business dealings, would He find you leading with integrity?

Integrity is not just what you say or do for all to see; it's also what you do when no one is watching. God wants us to lead with integrity and a skillful hand in private and public.

How do we do this? Be honest, trust God in the hard places, and have great accountability in your company leadership staff or board of directors. Being honest is easier than you think when you serve a God who provides grace and mercy for your mishaps and mistakes.

Kingdom leaders lead with integrity.
