Biblical Success - Crossing the Finish Line. Our Race Won, What’s Heaven Like?サンプル
Heaven. Our race is run and then? What? Heaven, that’s what! What will that be like? This will be a study reflecting just three dimensions of Heaven; the physical, emotional, and relational, primarily taken from Chapter 21 of Revelation. It is a subject that is infinitely and eternally important to us and receives far less emphasis than it deserves. For Christ-followers heaven is our home, our destination, and our hope. Truly, this stint on earth is just a short, temporary assignment as Ambassadors for Christ but our home is Heaven. In a few years, when our tour of duty ends on earth, we go home, forever. Eternally. What’s eternity? An old saint described eternity this way: “If a swallow should swoop down from heaven to sharpen his beak on a mile square block of granite, when he wore away the last piece of granite eternity would just be beginning.” Eternity a very long time, longer than time. in fact
In these studies, we will discuss just three aspects of Heaven. these are additional to the greatest feature of Heaven which will be to be in the presence of our Father God Jehovah and His Son our Lord Jesus Christ, and to worship them and to relate to them forever. That is more than enough to be eternally excited about. But there’s more.
Jesus has promised that He is preparing a very special place for us in Heaven when we have finished our race. Some translate the word He used to describe our place as a “mansion.” Others just use the term “place.” But, whatever term is used it describes a home where we will live forever selected for us by Jesus. Can you imagine it? Selected by Jesus for us? Personally?
Let’s talk about Heaven. What will we see? What are some things that we can expect? This will be a multi-part plan and we will look at three aspects of what we can know about Heaven from God’s Word; first, what are some things that will be there, second what are some that won’t be there, and then finally what differences there will be in the life we experience in Heaven based on these two factors.
To begin our study let’s look at several verses and then share our thoughts about what comes next, after the race is won and we cross the finish line, break the tape, and see Jesus. Wahoo! are you ready? Read the verses and open your mind. What are your thoughts?

Continuing our examination of life as a Christ-follower using the metaphor of running a race on earth with running the “race of life” of Hebrews 12:1 we will discuss crossing the finish line and entering Heaven. Using Revelation 22,23 and various other resources from scripture we will discuss some of the conditions we will find in Heaven and how they compare with life on earth.
