A Prayer for Unity in the Fight Against Trafficking
“We can only end slavery by partnering together. It’s too big of a problem for any one organization to handle alone.” – Stacia Freeman, Abolition International
Dear Jesus,
I pray for bridges to be built among groups fighting the issue of sex trafficking. You said in your Word that nothing is impossible for people who are united as one. (Gen. 11:6) The Apostle Paul also appealed to brothers and sisters in the name of Christ to agree with one another, to be united in mind and thought. (1 Cor. 1:10)
I pray in the name of Jesus that believers from all over the earth would unite to administer justice and show mercy. I pray we would be completely humble, gentle, and patient, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:2-3)
Jesus, you prayed that we would be one just as you and the Father are one. You have given us the glory that the Father gave you, so we may be brought to complete unity. (John 17:21-23) We pray against envy and selfish ambition, for where these exist there is disorder and every evil practice. (James 3:16) How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. (Ps. 133:1,3) Thank you Lord, for uniting us! In your mighty name I pray, amen.
