Ancora Kids Follow Ruth

DAY 2 OF 3

FREE FOOD!

Boaz let Ruth collect leftover corn from his fields so that she and Naomi could eat. God’s law said poor people and strangers from other countries were allowed to do that. (As a farmer, Boaz did not have to follow God’s law but he was happy to do so and help others.)

Add the next part of the story to your book. Perhaps draw Ruth in a field of corn. What do you think she looked like? What do you think Boaz was like?

Can you see the scenes from the story of Ruth, in the photo of a stained-glass window?

Naomi had no money. Ruth was from another country. But God cared about them and provided for them, through Boaz.

God always cares about outsiders and people who are poor today. God’s people should too. Can you think of anyone God uses to help people like Ruth and Naomi?

Pray: Say thank you to God for people who help others, especially those who are poor.

Ancora kids! Find out more about God—the one Boaz chose to obey—as you play the Bible Quests in the free Bible app Guardians of Ancora.

About this Plan

Ancora Kids Follow Ruth

Do you like a story with a happy ending? Often, it means the story starts out in an unhappy way! This Bible reading plan follows the story of two sad people: Ruth and her mother-in-law Naomi. Children will discover how God was with them, through the sad times, and used others to change their lives in amazing ways! The plan complements the free children’s game app Guardians of Ancora.
