Experiencing God At Home For Daily Family

DAY 9 OF 12

Let Us

Quick Start

The first five days of creation, God began with, “Let the . . .” or “Let there be . . .” but in verse 26, when it came time to create man, God said, “Let us make . . .” Even at the beginning of time we see the Father, the Son, and the Spirit working together for the good of mankind. Compare Isaiah 44:24 and Ephesians 3:9.

Quest

By design, God put everything exactly, perfectly where it needed to be before creating His masterpiece: the first people. People were a very special creation; different, because they were the only ones God created in His own image and this enabled them to have a personal relationship with God (see John 17:20–26). Throughout the Bible the Father, the Son, and the Spirit of God have worked together to show us just how much they love us and want to be in relationship with us. When we pray, they all listen; when we bring our problems and requests to God, they all work together to answer us, protect us, and guide us. It is great to know that we have such a wonderful team who stands with us all the time.

Quiet Family Prayer

Think about who is listening to your prayers. What do you want to thank Jesus for? Or the Spirit? Pray today asking God to help you reflect His image better to others throughout the day so that they may see Jesus in you.

Quiet Times

Younger Kids: Read the story of Adam and Eve in your own Bible. In the Garden of Eden, God visited them, walked and talked with them. Ask God to help you talk to Him like that, believing that He’s right there with you.

Older Kids: Read Exodus 33:7–11. Can you imagine having your prayer experience like that? Maybe not with a tent or with millions of people watching, but God wants to meet with you in the same, very real way and develop a close relationship with you. Talk to God as though you are face-to-face and ask Him to help you have an awesome prayer life with Him.
