Even Now From Life.Church WorshipSýnishorn
The Strength That Carries Me
The third Scripture that inspired Even Now is Psalm 73:26. Here’s a portion of it below with original Hebrew and its meaning.
… but God > 'elohiym > True God
is the strength > tsuwr > Rock, or refuge
of my heart > lebab > Inner person, mind, soul, understanding
and my portion > cheleq > Share, part, award,
forever. > `owlam > Everlasting, unending, eternity
Remember the Greek word dianoia from Ephesians 1:18 we learned about in day one of this plan? It has a similar meaning to the Hebrew word, lebab, used in Psalm 73:26. Both refer to a deep place inside where our way of thinking, believing, and understanding are formed. This is the place where God wants to open your eyes and break through with His light. He wants you to let go and give Him control. When you do, He will be your true God, your rock and confidence. In these deepest parts, He will be your portion. He will be enough. You might be wondering, “If I let go, and if He takes control, when will He break through the dark clouds I’m facing?” Forever. For eternity. And Even Now.
As you read today’s Scripture and worship with Even Now, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you one deep place you’ve not given God full control. Then, give it to God in prayer and make a plan to start living out your surrender.
You are the strength that carries me
You go before me
You are surrounding me
I let go
You take control

About this Plan
Life.Church Worship began writing their newest single with an email from Amy Groeschel, Pastor Craig Groeschel’s wife and co-founding pastor of Life.Church. She sent three Scriptures and some personal worship. The resulting song is a from-the-depths declaration of dependence on a God who breaks through like the bright hope of morning sun. This three-day Bible Plan will connect you to the real hope God offers, even now.
