Bring Them Back: Devotions From Time of Grace Ministry

DAY 29 OF 31

SOMEBODY HELP ME: PASTORS

In your efforts to bring someone back, you are not alone. Does your pastor know whose spiritual well-being is on your heart? Your pastor can be your prayer partner, your strategic advisor, your question answerer, your Bible interpreter, and your encourager. He can help you find books, pamphlets, and web resources. He can meet with both of you in a place that will seem nonthreatening.

Concern for people's souls is what drives pastors. It's why they jump out of bed in the morning and what keeps them up late at night. "Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account" (Hebrews 13:17).

Their very title, "pastor," is the Latin word for "shepherd." It is a beautiful reminder that their calling and work make them assistant shepherds to Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. Their calling also makes them accountable to him, one of many reasons why they will take your requests for spiritual help very, very seriously.

About this Plan

Bring Them Back: Devotions From Time of Grace Ministry

This 31 day reading plan shows you that you are a member of God's rescue team, looking out for those who are drowning and throwing them the life ring of Jesus' good news, especially those who once were believers but who have drifted off. God has commissioned all of us to bring them back.
