Philippians Pt. 3

DAY 3 OF 5

Welcome to Day 3! Yesterday, we reflected on standing firm in faith, knowing that our strength comes from our identity as citizens of heaven. Today, Paul brings us to one of the most well-known verses in Philippians:“Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).

Paul’s call to joy is not tied to earthly circumstances. He writes these words from prison, facing possible execution, while knowing the Philippians are about to endure persecution. Yet his joy remains unshaken because it is rooted in his relationship with Jesus. Paul reminds us that no matter how difficult life becomes, we can experience joy when we turn our eyes to Christ.

True Christian joy flows from knowing that Jesus is with us, loving us, and looking at us with unwavering affection, even when life feels overwhelming. Today, let us pause, reflect, and look back at Him, allowing His love to fill our hearts with joy.

Thank you for joining us to reflect on the joy that comes from knowing Christ. As you spend time in prayer today, consider this question:

If Jesus were standing before me, looking at me with love, what would He be inviting me to let go of so I can fully embrace His joy?

May the Holy Spirit draw your heart closer to Jesus and fill you with the unshakable joy of His love. We’ll see you tomorrow as we continue our study!
